People with back problems...and q3w docs...

Post by Don Carlos »

Might have to have a disc in the lower part of my back
removed soon due to it possibly being crushed.

I have my xrays and MRI scans next week to find out if i need
to go under the knife as it were.

TNF, i know you have had back and neck problems, how bad
are these ops and how long were you in hospital for?

Should i be really stressed as im am not in the slightest?

Any q3w docs care to have a stab at time scales for me being
a mess for?

Cheers :D

I was told they have to cut you in half to slide the vertebra of much like you would with beads on a necklace. The risky part is tying a knot in your spinal cord to stick you back together again ;)

You'll be fine :D

DC - what have the docs said about the operation? Would they be doing a fusion with the disc removal?
Are you experiencing a lot of pain down the legs and whatnot?

Don't doubt it. It can happen. My friend's wife is 26 and just got diagnosed with 2 crushed discs.
The MRI is scheduled so the diagnosis won't be all speculation once he gets that.

If by a fusion you mean just not having a disc they have said
that is one possibility. Another is them putting some sort of
"fake" disc in my back?

Now, im hoping for the best here and wondering if i just have some
mild nerve damage. And yes i do get bad pains in both legs.
More so the right leg tho...

you had an xray or an mri? you need the mri to really diagnose a disc problem.

Snowboarding will definitely fun if there are half-pipes and stunt parks there :icon26:
