While visiting California, I noticed that U.S. portions at McDonald's are alarmingly larger than our Canadian versions. For example, you buy say $1 for small fries in Canada (not sure if that's the actual price - haven't been to McD's in ages), it's the same price in the U.S. despite the exchange rate, but you get your exchange rate's worth of extra fries. This was a few years ago, before Bush screwed up the economy and the U.S. dollar was almost double the Canadian.
Our small fries come in a little white paper sleeve. U.S. small fries came in a cardboard sleeve that looked like our large fries. Large came in what looked like a large softdrink cup. I imagine the supersize would have been a small bucket, I didn't feel like asking them since I already started feeling sick.
Who can possibly eat so much grease?
I rarely eat fast food, but if I do, I prefer A&W, Harvey's or even Burger King over McD's.

I always supersize because i want the bigger drink and its cheaper to just get a huge fuck all fry with it.. I rarely eat more than a few anyways and half my burger always gets thrown away.. :-|obsidian wrote:While visiting California, I noticed that U.S. portions at McDonald's are alarmingly larger than our Canadian versions. [size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

I refuse to sit down and eat at a fast food joint.. id rather eat in my car..Chupacabra wrote:i always get a small drink (or sometimes water). 99% of mcdonalds have free refills. doesnt make sense to get a larger drink unless youre on the go.
That and generally if im getting fast food, i dont have the time to go in and eat..

Close, but in reality it's like this:ScooterG wrote:Favorite Fastfoods: McD's for chicken nuggets, Wendy's for fries, BK for burgers, KFC for chicken, Arby's for roast beef....
Favorite Chain Restaurant: Outback Steakhouse (LOVE the Alice Springs Chicken)
Damn, it's a wonder I'm not fat!
-Wendy's for chili
-Arby's for fries
-Taco John's for mother fuckin' potato oles!
Word.
I can get behind these choices - I had forgotten about the curly fries at Arby's - they rock!werldhed wrote:Close, but in reality it's like this:ScooterG wrote:Favorite Fastfoods: McD's for chicken nuggets, Wendy's for fries, BK for burgers, KFC for chicken, Arby's for roast beef....

This wasn’t meant to be a fast food thread only but for any restaurants.
Since you’re mostly talking of fast food, Any of you like burritos?
I loved Jack in the Box and The Burritos Factory in Calif.
Also in Calif, Bowl Weevil for their pound hamburger that you garnish yourself.
In Fla, Checker’s for their juicy hamburger.
If you come to Montreal and like hot dogs, there is one place renowned for the best
Hot dogs, on the Main/St-Laurent Street, I don’t recall the name of it but I am sure ToxicBug must know it, since he is from Montreal.
On the same street, Schartz’s, renowned for the best smoked meat.
