Yeah it's a good show. But the best moment in the entire season was the last minute:
When that fucking dumb cunt of a wife finally died.
HOOO-LEEEE SHIT was she ever annoying. This "real-time" concept obviously has one big flaw: You have to fill every minute.
I can only imagine what the scriptwriting sessions must have been like:
"Ok guys, we need to fill 5 more minutes here and it's Teri's turn to do something. Any suggestions?"
"Hm, could she, maybe, cry a little more?"
"Yeah I guess that's good. What about Kim? She hasn't done anything in this episode."
"We'll just have her call her 'friend' Rick again, you know, the guy that abducted her in the first place."
"Yeah that would be good, but that doesn't fill up enough time."
"I got it! All of the sudden - she gets KIDNAPPED!"
"That's brilliant! No, wait - I think she's already kidnapped at the moment."
"For serious? Maybe we could have a second terrorist group kidnap her from the kidnappers?"
"Good idea! That way we can introduce more people! Now, Teri is probably done crying by now..."
"What!? It's only been five minutes!"
"Don't worry, I've got a spectacular idea. This has never been done before. Listen to this: AMNESIA!!!"
"I... I think I love you. If this isn't Emmy material, I don't know what is. But doesn't Amnesia last pretty long usually?"
"Nah, it'll only be two hours. Her long-forgotten love interest helps her recover."
"New person, right?"
"That's right, chalk up another one."
LISTEN, MAKERS OF 24:
DON'T INTRODUCE PEOPLE THAT AREN'T INTERESTING AT ALL. YOU ARE RUINING AN OTHERWISE GOOD SHOW!!!
Just got done watching the first season of 24 (spoilers!)

Yeah, i know what you mean. In season 2 , Kim went through a bunch of ridiculous bullshit for no apparent reason. She was "kidnapped" by some psycho guy who wanted to live with her in his underground bomb shelter, and then she got involved in an abortive convenience store robbery by a painfully bad actor -- they were such horrible time-filler drivel, it really lowered the whole season.
But considering the strictures of writing in realtime, I think the show's writers do a very good job. 24 is still the only show I actually turn on the TV to watch.
