I've only played that one, the original, on psx when it first came out. I thought it was excellent and very creepy. Though it didn't have quite the interest factor of res evil which I'd been playing before silent hill.
Well, that scary lady from the church in the first game seems to be in it, and the female cop from..hmm, is it the 2nd game? and some of the monster characters from the whole series is definitely in the movie..
They havent revealed to much about it, but from pics and the trailer i recognise many characters.
after seeing sean bean had been cast, i thought they might've gone with the story from the first one (which has cybil the female cop in it). hopefully it'll still work out okay.
its a new story in the sh setting. no particular game is being translated, although it is heavily influenced by the first.
thats sometihng people need to remember before judging the film. a lot of peeps are going on about "omg lol theyre totally ruining it rose was already dead in the first game lololol worst movie ever"
