Exactly. Previously we were recognizing our neurons based on immunocytochemistry, which sucks because it kills the damn things. The GFP expression will target the neurons of interest, and only those ones.

We've got some transgenic mice that express GFP along with the RGS9 protein, so the neurons we're studying that have RGS9 can be easily identified in culture. Good stuff.
