the screenshots and whatnot i've seen just aren't removed enough from the doom3 experience for me to get too excited.

I know that there is no point buying any new games like FEAR or Prey because I'll just end up playing WoW. Hell I haven't even beaten Q4 yet. I'll probably pick them up in a year or two off ebay at a much better price and play them on max settings.

I am well behind on games. Bought half life 2 about 4 or 5 months ago, still wrapped up. Haven't finished doom3, haven't started Q4 SP, havn't tried FEAR, and there's a bunch of point n click adventures waiting to be started.

yeah, it's more "japanese horror movie"-creepy than "boo in your face"-scary like Doom3

plus, it's got the best ending of any game I can remember playing

Even though prey looks like Another Doom clone, its not. Its got some amazing game play ideas that really fucking rawk. Cant wait.
