Any contests and shit?

How is it going for Q4 out there, are there any big contests and other events planned, or done already, that is not QuakeCon...

I know shit about Q4 really, but a 'friend' (well no friend, he's a retard) said that there are stakes of 100000 of dollars in contests for Quake 4 already... true? I find it hard to belive since the game is so fresh...

I think your "friend" remembered the wrong figure, but hes basically right - CPL Winter 2005 used Q4:

Yeah seeing as its the WT game theres a lot of money getting thrown at it for competitions with Euro Cup and GGL as well...

As for the communities its pretty much Europe > East NA > West NA, least it seems that way so far...
