Bluetooth Headsets

Post by Giraffe }{unter »

Anyone got the Motorola HS850 or the H700?

Links to motorola headsets

The idiot reviewers on amazon all say it's awesome, it sucks, this thing rocks, it's garbage. wtf?

I like the hs810 I gave to my wife then stole back, but she want's it back because the HS820 I gave her dials home whenever it gets looked at funny and all around is just a pain in the ass to use.

I like the HS810, HS850 and h700 style because they have the flip mic that disables the device when closed no accidental dialing or stealing the call (see below)

The non flip mic models like the HS820 are always connected to the phone so if you dial and put the phone up to your ear and the bluetooth headset is in the house somewhere it steals the call. the only way to prevent this is shut it off. now if you want to use it you need to turn it on (7 seconds) then use it, where with the flip models you just flip and talk.

with the 820 is there a way, other than shutting it off, to prevent it form grabbing the call if you would rather put the phone to your head?

It's annoying if my headset is in my jacket and I am 15 cubes away trying to make a call. :/ I am using it with a Blackberry 7100g

No, there isn't afaik. Bluetooth is off if I'm not using the headset though so its not something that bothers me.
