There's this guy in my office who uses a company laptop which syncs with the rest of our network any time he logs on. He's always dumping his pictures from his digicam into his "my pictures" folder on his laptop which in turn ends up on the network. I've warned him about this before but he's apparently completely forgotten, leading to the hilarity of today.
I was looking at the server disc space earlier and noticed it was about a gig lower than it was last I checked. I immediately suspected asshat digicam-man so I check the "my pictures" folder and sure enough it's just jammed with pics. The folder is set to the option where you see previews of the pictures right on the folder icon and I notice some boobies, of course I investigate further. Sure enough I open the folder and there's a bunch of pictures and vids of his gf and her friends stripping etc.

I should mention that buddy is king metrosexual and his gf is about the female equivalent and is retarded hot. I've seen her tits before (as she is not shy at all and showed me a picture of them on her cell phone the first time I met her) but this level of debauchary is unprecedented.
What would you guys do here? Should I tell him before someone else sees them and he gets fired or should I just let it ride? LOL I could probably start my own softcore porn site.

It's funny because one of my bosses does the same thing, not knowing we can see all the pictures. Granted she hasn't had any nudies on there but I bet it's bound to happen.

I usually take the good ones and delete the rest, the best way to have someone learn is to have something foul happen to them. This guy was saving whords of porn, I'm still curious as to why he never wondered how it kept dissappearing every day???

I'm about done being Mr. nice guy here friend or not, you fuck up I email you, your manager and the I.T. guys. I'm sick of having my guys get reamed by a manager because they are wasting valuable time for their employees. Even though their employee had enough time to download Gain and shop at home agen :/

FYI, just don't say anything to him or you can have an HR issue on your hands. All sexual issues need to fist go to HR so they can gingerly handle the problem.

If you understood the nature of my company I don't think you'd be saying the same thing. We have a very fluid way of doing things. I either tell him or tell the boss.

Seriously though - why not find a way to grab the pics, and somehow make it look like they're still there so he will keep putting more up?

Make copies to keep, turn off synchronizing for the My Pictures folder, then just turn it back on every couple of weeks when you need some lube material.

Yea it's kinda twisted I know, but no internet boobies are as fun to look at as amateur porn pics of people you actually know.

Well, you could delete them and not say anything. Then if the guy ever tries to screw you over you can go to the boss and tell him he's wasting gigs of server space and you're having to delete them daily or something.

If you like the guy, just send him an email from an outside address of yours that he doesn't know, that has a link to the server location where the pics are stored.

a friend of mine had the same problem with the scanner at work, people would be scanning their pics and then forget and leave them in the scanner.
One day he went in to scan, and there was a picture of a girl that worked there in a sexy outfit, wearing a huge dildo. Busted!

We have a professional digital camera setup at work, and for a while I was finding pubic hair all over the place .......I don't know if someone was scanning their weenie or what....everyone denied it of course. Ick.
