Pretty neat article. They look a hell of a lot like red blood cells though. Some dude on slashdot was saying that their method of DNA detection wasn't the best though, so I wonder if a better method might be able to get some DNA/RNA out of the mixture. Even if it was blood, that still leaves the question.. WTF? Why is it raining blood? heh.

I think it’s very unlikely that there could be so much of this from a meteorite, however it’s an interesting idea The new article doesn’t say it but his other articles mention that if the cells are put under extreme heat they apparently grow?

lol, did you see that thread about biodiesel? what a load of shit. biodiesel is a dead-in-the-water fuel that pollutes as much as normal oil and requires the clearing of vast amounts of forest land to plant the palms and other crops needed to supply it. it's even less environment-friendly than the usual stuff
