Atom Chip Corporation

Post by eepberries »

"Atom Chip Corporation is a research and development corporation. We are a world leader in the manufacturing of Quantum-Optical RAM and storage. In one cubic millimeter 3.2GB of non-volatile memory are contained. The devices do not employ any mechanical or moving parts. This is radically better than all existing memories."

This has to be some kind of fucking joke :olo:

Haven't looked at their stuff, but you've never heard of the idea of quantum computing? Being able to retain information in the quantum states of things would be radically better than all existing memories. And yea, you could contain a huge amount of data in a very small region of physical space.

But I haven't looked into it for awhile, so I have no idea how developed the technology is yet.

I'm not speaking of them specifically, I'm speaking of the notion of quantum computers.

that video is like a straight blast from the past old-skool sci-fi shows, but in color.

They seem to have a lot of awards though.
