although lyrically it caters to a younger audience (low 20's) perhaps, musically it's good and diverse. going from a folk sound (I Will Follow...) to a 70ish mellow sound (Your Heart Is An Empty Room) all while being totally accesible to a varied audience. great stuff and a nice surprise.
Just bought it last night, great for the drive home.
Best album I bought all year :icon14:
good purchase!
p.s. did you mean 2005?
trueth be told, for 2005...
I'm very happy with the new Weezer album,:paranoid:
( despite the first 2 shitty singles "Beverly Hills" and "We are all on Drugs" I hate those songs, worst on the album. ) the rest of the album is brilliant, Rivers lyrics are at top form. one of their best...IMHO.
A lot of people would say it's a bad idea, on your first day out of prison, to go right back to stalking the tranny hooker that knocked out five of your teeth. But that's how I roll..

lol that's the reason i didn't pick up that album was because of those two songs. i LOATHE them.
I've always been a fan of tiesto so i was pretty certain i'd enjoy this set. it's an old one from 1998 but still passes as something you could easily hear and enjoy today. in fact it was nostalgic to hear some old classics such as Binary Finary's 1998 or Taucher's Water. i'm not to certain how it compares to the other magiks as i've only heard this one and the first one but one thing is for certain it's of the high quality you'd expect from tiesto, especially if you're more into his earlier stuff like me.
I'm not really comparing, I'm just saying that when it comes to Maiden, most people cite one of those as one of their favorites. I'm relatively on the fence, they're both great albums consisting of most of the better Maiden songs.

actually, the interesting bit was your music preferences - the stuff you posted earlier, then chiming in about Maiden. i mean that as a compliment of course.

One of the best bands...ever. this album is 100% from start to finish.
Lol, I had never heard of the band so I looked for a review...first sentence of the review on All Music Guide:
"The Arcade Fire are not an emo band."
Sounds like it's worth a listen. Recent bands are becoming so terrible that now I'm starting to assosciate Indie as a euphamism for Emo
Edit: I gave it a listen...8/10. It's a good consistent album, but there aren't really that many songs that immediately stand out to me above the others. I also marked it down a point or so because it seems to love orientated...not that most people would care, it's more of a personal thing - I'm only 18, I don't want to hear about love. I'd rather listen to too fast/young for love Motley Crue anthems and the womanizing ballads of Slick Rick or Necro.

9/10: Still the same geetar noodling that I personally totally utterly adore. Drumming by Mike Minneman - enough said.
hm. *googles*
edit: Marco Minneman - he's german, so he rules by default, but his drumming is stellar, trust me on this one.
