Random Thought #31

Post by Guest »

Logic beats god.

My logic, as follows:

If you have faith in a god or even a supreme being of some sort of undertermined origin you are strange. Your logic dictates that you beleive in a being out of pure faith, meaning you have no proof of it's existance and no proof of it's non existance hence you cannot commit to either idea.

As an individual it's important to have ideals in life and adhere to these ideals. So, if you adhere to that idea that, not having evidence to or against the idea of life after death/god/heaven etc... means it's possible then you must admit the possibility that I may be Superman.

That's correct, I might be Superman. You cannot claim I am not Superman as you have no evidence to the contrary that I am not. If you do beleive I am not Superman then you have a problem. Because on one subject you beleive one way and another you beleive another way. Obviously since your mind chooses to ignore ideals set in one beleif but acknowledges others there is a place in that formula of thought that must be incorrect.

For some individuals that bullshit detector built in your mind chooses not to go off when speaking about religion. You need to understand why it doesn't. Why does your mind have a double standard? don't kid yourself, having double standards is a bad idea as an individual. It means you represent the bad aspects of humanity, in that you are greedy or ignorant to the truth or simply don't care for your fellow man.

The normal thought process that dismisses the fact that I may be superman is the same common sense reasoning ability that should be obvious to you there is no god or other outworldly being. I won't dismiss the possibility of life outside the universe but I will assert pretty confidently that they do not know, or care, of our existance, if that.

However in the religious sense of the word, there is no god.

So what is it?

Might I be superman, or is there no god? :icon26:

If a mod could poll this that'd be wicked.

no. you're an idiot.

your 'thought' isn't really an argument, it's just more of the same spastic, rambling arsewater you always come out with.

Likewise, we must admit the possibility that you are an idiot. Superman, or idiot. Guess which one we have more evidence to make claim to.
