I haven't gotten too far into GT mode yet, so if I'm gonna compete, it'd have to be the Arcade mode.

Unfortunately I don't have my DFP with me, and I'm not good with the controller, but that shouldn't matter :)

Lastly, I won't be able to post screenshots if you guys want them as proof, because I don't have my desktop with me either for me to hook my PS2 to :(
we'll if this is a go, then i will give you this.. infact i recomment everyone to do this.

Get in a car that is about 230HP+ ( not hard ) go to the special events. the second race down is a Rally that has no real car restrictions.. Two races both on a tropical shoreline.

now, if you are using a car with 240HP you MAY have a semi-hardtime keeping infront of the dude, But dont sweat it, keep going.

you will win 5K per race ( woop de doo ), but if you win both races, you will recive a Toyota Rally car that is worth in the ball park of $265'000. Sell it, do it again if needed..

that way you will be able to buy the cars that are in the challenges :)

gt4 supports online racing, and i am not quite 100% how it will work out.. but it would be fun to say the least, right? :)
Officially, GT4 only supports LAN racing (in Arcade mode), not online :icon32:

However, you can use a tunneling program like XLink Kai to allow you to use the LAN feature in GT4 to race online. Your results may vary though, as I alluded to earlier :)

There's an XLink Kai tutorial on GT Planet here.

XLink Kai download link here.

TBH, I'm still not that fond of the rallying in GT4 :paranoid: I think Arcade mode should suffice (just my opinion :paranoid:). AFAIK, Arcade mode doesn't alter the physics; it merely removes the task of having to earn cars and greatly simplifies modifying/setting up the cars. Besides, if you want to have an online race via XLink later on, that's available only in the Arcade mode anyway :paranoid:

OK, but with the following adjustments :p

1. +20 power
2. -10 weight
3. user preference driving aids
4. softest tires possible

So when you post your results, you must also state the following (in addition to laptime, speed, car used, etc.):

1. transmission type used
2. driving aids used
3. controller type used
4. if you used a wheel, state your active steering/steering type/power assists/force feedback strength settings (depending on which wheel you used)

i agree with this. this will tend to shift results toward more pure "driving" skills.
