Quick question for movie burning types

Post by Postal »

Is it possible for me to take an AVI file, and somehow burn it onto a CD, and then use it in a DVD player to watch a movie on the television?

yes, but it's fucking time-consuming. i think it's winavi you want iirc, and you'll need to burn it to a DVD

frankly i don't think it's worth the time if you can just make an ISO off the original, assuming it's a movie and not your private collection of pedo-dungeon exploits

edit: oh ok there's VCD too if you must

Yes, Nero will do this I beleive. I have done it once, but didnt mess with the menu too much so it turned out weird.

When you choose a new project, choose VCD

It's a low-quality 716 meg file, and I'm not really finicky about the quality. Does overburning work at alll on VCD's?

Dvd players are dirt cheap, why not get one that has divx/xvid support?

but in the case of dvd players, you really do get what you pay for, although a divx/xvid player would be useful.
