DVD movies in 1080i?

Post by tnf »

Are there DVD's that can be viewed in 1080i (or 720p) yet?

They encode H.264 movie trailers at 1080i, so I assumed they were already doing it. I think that resolution has to wait for DVD-HD or Blue-Ray....not sure though.

not be default. currently you'd need a dvd player that will upconvert.

Build yourself a HTPC and use it as an upscaler.

use a modded XBox and media center. Current DVD's will just be upscaled however from their native res.

And shepherds we shall be, for thee my Lord for thee, Power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command, we shall flow a river forth to thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine patris, et fili, et spiritus sancti.
