I usually consider anything 15 years old to be junk - except in rare circumstances, like single-owner with very low mileage.

Then you are either spoiled or know very little about car's.

I am neither.

15 years can cause a lot of problems to a car, especially if it's driven regularly in a city, and especially if it's anywhere near saltwater.

Holy shit those cars are cheap :/

I live only like 700km away, might have to come over next time I'm thinking of a new car.

P.S. right know I'm driving an 87' Civic, and it still runs fine.

agreed! My dad has a 1967 pontiac firebird, me and him rebuilt it, it now has a big block crate 502, custom rocker arms and pushrods, runs at about 550hp, 650+lb/ft of torque, we haven't gotten it dyno'd yet and we need to weld the subframe connectors on, we could twist the car in half if we tried :icon31:
Why not?

Jenny: lol, i'm not changing the whole harddrive directory structure for a mod. Do it proper like other mods please.

Hey, if you like fixing up cars then an old machine is the best kind. I've had some great old cars after I put a lot of work into them.

I'm just talking about buying to drive everyday. I want something <= 10 years old, or very low mileage.

For 1600 € I would try to get a decent Golf II.

Probably the only usable car you'll get for that kind of money.

Sure, you could *theoretically* buy a BMW 5 for that amount, but it'll break down before you get home. Any BMW that isn't broken goes for more than that.

Also repairs will be cheap for the Golf II since it's such a popular car and still widely used.
