It's called profit.

The military industrial complex has had a shot in the arm recently with a bunch of paranoid, war-crazy civilians running riot in the Pentagon. This is just another money-making scheme (project) for them....and the circle continues.

We have run a successful test finally!!

Of course, if you read carefully you understand that 'successful' just means the missile actually got in the air, unlike the last two. It didn't even simulate shooting anything.

9 billion fucking dollars a year. We're still spending this annually on a system that doesn't work -- even though Russia has already produced a missile that completely renders it obsolete.
