Quake2max error's

Okay so I download quake 2 max ver 45 or something and install it, I get this bs in return when I run the exe "The paging file is to small for this operation to complete" So thats fine and dandy and I uninstall it and install quake 2 max ver 44 and it runs fine, now lets get these new textures here..... OH, another error. Now when I go to a map using these textures, the water and lava textures and such dont appear very well unless I zoom in on them. So how can I fix this texture bug to where the lava and water textures look like they should. PS the other textures work and look good.
