Richard Pryor, the caustic yet perceptive actor-comedian who lived dangerously close to the edge both on stage and off, has died, his ex-wife said Saturday. He was 65.

Damn. Going to have to watch some of his old stand up as a tribute. Great stuff.

Loved his bit where he described setting himself on fire while speedballing (I think it was speedballing at least.)

Just had a news message alert about it.
What popped up in my head right away is I can imagine him in heaven with John Candy greeting him and then both starting to mess around disturbing St Peter.

The world has lost a real legend. A man who truely bridged the gap between races. Richard will be greatly missed.

R.I.P. Mr. Pryor. You've been freed from your earthly bounds. May your comedy and insights be passed on for generations to come.

It's hard to believe he's gone. :tear:

i still remember that scene in "stir crazy" with gene wilder where they're trying to avoid getting assraped by going around saying "we don't take no shit, we don't take no-o-o-o shit, that's right, no-o-o shit..."

Hardly shocking though. I mean, he's been a retard for the last 15 years. Stir Crazy is genius though.
