Excuse the bump, but got the wiring done. Ended up rerouting the existing wiring. Everything is on 12/2 with 20 amp breakers. Thanks for all the help and suggestions. :)

i'd get the recomended spec 12 wire

espcially in the kitchen, power gets used up in there right heavy.

say the microwave on the same time as toaster or toaster oven, forman grill?, big mixer?

plus a few hundred in lights,

I just don't know if it will be heavy enough to run it. Yeah I know look it up, but I'm sure it will say get at least 12 guage wire. I want to know if it will actually handle it at 14 guage.

I know it's quite common to recommend things with more than enough stability to handle a job. I don't want to buy new wire if I don't have to, but I also don't want to burn my house down. :)
Make sure you turn off the power, or if your ballzy like I do it hot. :)
You'll also need wire nuts...but I guess you have all your tools together ?
Just daisy chain your wires from the power to the double outlet, then feed out of that box to the 2 way socket and then run your hot to one side of the switch. Run your neutral wire in the switch box (white) straight thru to the light. The black wire that is between the switch and the light goes on the other leg of your switch ?
comprende ' ?
