hmmmm, according to fox 95% of the US is christian...
Polling data from the 2001 ARIS study, described below, indicate that:
81% of American adults identify themselves with a specific religion:
76.5% (159 million) of Americans identify themselves as Christian. This is a major slide from 86.2% in 1990. Identification with Christianity has suffered a loss of 9.7 percentage points in 11 years -- about 0.9 percentage points per year. This decline is identical to that observed in Canada between 1981 and 2001. If this trend continues, then by about the year 2042, non-Christians will outnumber the Christians in the U.S.

^^ this professor caught a beat down for not wanting to teach intelligent design.
University of Kansas religious studies professor Paul Mirecki said that the two men who beat him made references to the class that was to be offered for the first time this spring.
Originally called "Special Topics in Religion: Intelligent Design, Creationism and other Religious Mythologies," the course was canceled last week at Mirecki's request.
The class was added after the Kansas State Board of Education decided to include more criticism of evolution in science standards for elementary and secondary students.
I watched the video at work, but I thought they meant 95% of Americans identify the word Christmas as a holiday and not a religious statementprince1000 wrote:hmmmm, according to fox 95% of the US is christian...

I'm liking Colbert as well. Did anyone catch that interview he had on small pox? That and the Brian Greene interview were tops, though I'm biased on the second one. We just got the report here in Canada recently.
