It seems as if some companies still think the Ion Storm way of doing things (ie: the execs spending money on useless shit) is a good idea.
I will NOT comment on other games companies that I know of who waste development funds on frivolous shit

Its not clear what the article has to do with your postcomment on the Ion Storm way of doing things?
In the article a woman created fake documents to secure a loan for a 3 million dollar house. She did not do it as a "perk" of being a software star. She didn't have the software company pay for the house.
The bank found out about the forged documents and she is going to jail. uh duh!
