There was a good cover article on caffeine in National Geographic this year.

I'll bet you'd lick oil of bergamot off a deseased whore without blinking an eye, or from Picard's glabrous globe , for that matter, without any hesitation.

headaches are due to the effect of caffeine on the vascular system---dropping caffeine quickly and suddenly causes the blood vessels to shrink, restricting blood supply to the brain (as well as other body parts)
the new puppy evidently loves the shit, caught him guzzling it (hot) out of a mug on the coffee table the other morning.
:olo: when I left for work he was shaking the couch grunting out a massive self-love-enhanced cleaning session :olo:
I don't know but maybe the shit also works on the libido

mik0rs wrote:Fuck giving up coffee here either. Though I only drink the instant stuff at the mo so I don't suffer at all if I go without, I didn't even on weekends after having 5 or 6 cups a day at work. Again that was instant stuff though so I doubt the caffeine was sufficient anyway.

I need a cafetiere.
Might want to be carefull with the instant stuff it causes kidney Stones if consumed on a regular basis. I severyly cut back on the instant coffee once I heard about that from my Doctor

Buying full leaf tea by the pound is comparably priced to getting small boxes of bags in the store. It tastes much better too. I have 4 boxes of the twinings stuff in my cupboard I may never drink after discovering the joys of full leaf tea. When you start buying it by the 1/4 pound off that website, though, you start getting dicked on price. You have to pay the man for the infuser too.

The stuff they sell here isn't bad either, but i like the rishi earl grey better

I like Replublic of tea... but the price adds up after awhile. I'm just drinking Lipton Tea now... you can get good prices when you buy 100 bags in bulk at Costco :(

That's why you buy it in bulk :p

[Jules, Vincent and Jimmie are drinking coffee in Jimmie's kitchen]
Jules: Mmmm! Goddamn, Jimmie! This is some serious gourmet shit! Usually, me and Vince would be happy with some freeze-dried Taster's Choice, but he springs this serious GOURMET shit on us! What flavor is this?
Jimmie: Knock it off, Jules.
Jules: [pause] What?
Jimmie: I don't need you to tell me how fucking good my coffee is, okay? I'm the one who buys it. I know how good it is. When Bonnie goes shopping she buys SHIT. Me, I buy the gourmet expensive stuff because when I drink it I wanjt to taste it. But you know what's on my mind right now? It AIN'T the coffee in my kitchen, it's the dead nigger in my garage.

The politicization of tea makes people forget that it is as much an American tradition as it is a British one. Besides, it's irrelevent given that tea comes from almost everywhere except Britain and the US.
