Great, Xbox has it.. so does 360.. big whoop
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Jack Thompson is still alive.

Parental Controls aren't really an issue, so what if parents control what their kids do, sure beats the hell out of parents expecting the federal government to do it.

Not negative on parental controls. I simply think this will hurt Nintendo more than other consoles what with a greater proportion of kiddies playing it.

i don't see how it will hurt nintendo, since parents have alot less to worry about (software titles) with a kid using a Revolution as opposed to a 360.

Yes because the rev isn't going to be flooded with FPSers. :icon22:

the number of mature rated software on the 360 and the upcoming PS3 each will be more than the Rev, imo.

I don't see how it will hurt the sales at all -- parents of younger kids will be more inclined to pick it up for xmas due to not having to worry about mature content being played, and anyone else will just disable the parental controls anyway.

Plus, nintendo has always been targetted toward the younger market. It's a good move by nintendo, although it has been standard in consoles since the xbox (the media has obviously just decided to notice it now  )

I see nothing wrong with it. This gives direct control to parents where it should be....instead of Walmart.

Perhaps - in some far distant fantasy future - this will help stop the games industry being a favorite goat of the "society is falling apart because...." crowd.

There's nothing wrong with parental control nor does it carry any negative connotations. Every kid knows how to get around them anyway

Never said there was anything wrong. Was simply looking at the implications for the sale of games.

As others have noted, this may not disproportionally affect Nintendo as I had previously suspected.
