You have a clear and astute mind and your feelings on the subject seem respectable and earnest. I am glad you find the fishing references funny, and I commend you for going above and beyond the call of duty by explaining exactly why you find this to be so. This was unexpected, but I believe you made the right decision. The justification of your reasons for finding the pictures funny is also flawless; you clearly show that, because your ideas of what to expect in this thread beforehand matched up with the pictures in the thread, you found them funny. This totally makes sense, and you said it in such a way that just nails it. I really don't think anyone could attack your position and stand a chance of avoiding ridicule. It's just that good.
