Funny add. Probably banned so that they can spread the word of taking the power supply off the ground and suspended it in the air with some string to prevent their console from crashing

But it's a brilliant ad. Much funnier than those bollocks nintendo ads

I think its obvious to an extent. Its got folks walking up to each other and pulling a "weapon" of sorts out to blast each other away. Sure its funny to gamers, but many folks will be concerned about it, especially in this day and age with "terrorism" and other fears floating about.

I seriously do not understand why it was banned. Explain away.

The thing is though that it's no different than games that kids play like Cops and Robbers. So, it's not like anybody would see anything new

Yea, looks like a bunch of adults playing kids' games. The commercial itself even plays down how seriously video games should be taken, although a lot of tv-watchers probably wouldn't get that part.
The only reason I would think it could be 'banned' is the massive phobia companies face at the prospect of offending someone's sensitivities, which is the same reason every thing on television is the same.

I checked up on it. The ad in the link was actually NOT banned. The xbox marketing guys just decided that it would be better to release it on the Internet.
