The 3 LOTR movies are all in the top 15 of all time in the imdb. That's doing something if you ask me. I think we can expect great things from his movies. Kinda makes you wonder why the other directors out there turn out such garbage when all they need to do is study his movies and try and duplicate what he does.

Jackson kinda "lucked out" with those movies. Don't get me wrong, he is a great director, but the fact that he was given the opportunity to direct those movies automatically puts him way ahead.
For the last two movies in LOTR, I find the Frodo/Sam/Gullum bits to be tedious and boring. I discovered if I skip ahead past those parts the action and pace of the film really improves. I also skip past the Treebeard parts, those are tedious as hell.

that was what was so good about the book and where the dvd triumphs over seeing the movie at a cinema, you can miss out whole chapters.
I saw Adrien Brody on the Daily Show the other night, he said the same about it being Jackson's inspiration. Also, I had no idea that there were dinosaurs in the original.
This looks to be more ownage...

They just released the original on DVD like two weeks ago. If you have never see it, watch it before you see the new one. I think the new one is going to be great, but half the fun is going to be comparing it to the original.
