Seems like they would have a full size one so you could see everything. That one kinda sucks.

Is that a squid by the cake or what?
And I still don't know what's up with that golden statue dude. Is it Goldfinger maybe?

these are also questionable: I don't think they work, unless someone can explain them to me:

Butthole Surfers (where's the butthole?)
Pink (what.. the sky?)
Rusted Root
Shapeshifters
Tatu
The Carpenters (i don't see any carpentry going on)
MC Hammer (the guy smashing pumpkins? where's the MC?)

are these the same cars? doesn't make sense to use the same trigger for both bands.
The Cars
Traffic

and the things coming out of the sewer are probably "The roots" not "the vines" since they are on virgin... and they look more like roots than vines.

The guys on the roof seem to be constructing something, hence The Carpenters.
The two contortionists would be the shapeshifters.

Added Kiss, The Scorpions, Yellowman and Spandeu Ballet
Replaced The Vines with The Roots.

That makes 73, without the questionables, so at least one of them shouldn't have made it in.

Butthole Surfers might be the Beach Boys, but there's no literal beach to it. Two guys with surfboards have to be something though.

Pink is the sky. Can't imagine why the sky would be randomly pink for no reason.

Shapeshifters, I was thinking of the contortionist chicks. That may be out now though, if they are Spandeau Ballet?

The guys on the roof, at least one of them is working on an unfinished wood framing, so I can't imagine them not being the Carpenters.

Two chicks kissing, hard to dismiss it as not Tatu. If it were just for Kiss, I would think they would have just made it a man and woman kissing.

I don't see why The Cars and Traffic couldn't be part of the same thing, although I don't think I've ever heard of the band Traffic.

MC Hammer was a bit of a stretch for me, but I kinda thought that pumpkins could be smashed without using a sledgehammer, so there must be a reason they put it in there.

I just dont get how two girls kissing means "tatu" thats not how these things work. Everything else is engineered to make perfect sense.
if it was tatu, then someone would have a big obvious tatoo on their arm.
much how like MC hammer would most likely have an MC carved on the hammer.
and I'd say that Traffic sould probably be cut considering the cars makes more sense. and so many other things in the photo aren't explained yet, it doesn't make any sense to use the same trigger twice.
oh, and i just checked virgin's site.
spandeu ballet is not one of their artists.
but twisted sister is. (and also less obscure)
since they do look like sisters, and they are twisted.

No, I just have no clue how people came to Pink, The White Stripes, Dead Kennedies, Shapeshifters, Carpenters or Seal

Pink - the sky
White Stripes - on the pavement
Dead Kennedies - two posters of John and Bobby Kennedy, on the wall on the left
Shapeshifters - still questionable, the two contortionist chicks
The Carpenters - the guys on the roof with the half-finished structure
Seal - there's a poster of a seal near the Kennedies poster

So, these artists don't need to be signed by Virgin? Because a lot of them aren't.

A lot of them have only released one single or one album under Virgin, but that seems good enough to make it into the pic.
