never been a fan of that kind of chili, prefer the depth charge effect. where you make something that tastes warm, wholesome and hearty and it's not until you're about to wolf down a second mouthful that you realise all the skin has been stripped from the back of your throat.

rook's recipe is insanely hot. Even after removing jalapenos from the recipe it is still a little hard for me to eat.

I make chilli con carne the lazy mans way.
I boil some rice ( any rice really but I am partial to basmati) and then I pour a tin of tescos' chilli con carne into a microwave container and heat for 2 and half minutes. Always tastes great. :icon26:

Post it! Or re-link or something.

I like mine hot, but some friends and famliy don't, so I have to compromise. I add jalepenos and hot sauce to mine in the bowl.

And I'll second the opinion that R00k's recipe is great. Last time I made it with Paulaner. I like to add apples as well.

Once I got habenero oil on my fingers. I washed my hands three times to get it off, but it didn't make a difference. When I took a piss later that night, I put myself in agony for hours. Ouch

I like it with some spice but not much. I finally found out that cutting the amount of crushed red pepper got it to just the right taste for me.

If you go to the Terlingua Chili Championship you will not find any chili with beans in it. You will find some hot stuff, but no beans, for there are signs everywhere there that say "Real Chili Doesn't Have Beans"

Fuck that, I like beans in my chili (pinto) :)

Fucking agreed.. >:E
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.
