i played the first 3 maps or so and so far havent felt compelled to play it again. not that i found it bad (although the bullet time is really out of place ), i just cant find any interest to play it at the moment.
Fucking wankers. I goto their downloads page and click for the single player demo.
Didn't realize that until I went to install it, that their link led to the multi player demo.
i just bought this and tbh the engine is nasty looking pos - character models are nice though - shitty gun sounds, stock "scary" moments - lol - buying this has pursuaded me to use bittorrent for most future purchases - bloody awful
I have been impressed so far. Though some of the AI was pretty good at times and pretty bad at times. At one point, a group of bad guys and I were in a firefight, and one of them ran over to a door, openened it, and went through a warehouse so he could loop around behind me and leave me trapped between him and the rest. I saw him going into the door and made it back around the corner to kill him as he was making his way through the building. I thought that was pretty cool. Also, the motion capture of the enemies when they ducked under a partially closed garage door...instead of a stock 'crouch' they actually leaned over....little details like that are things I am always impressed by.
And the gameplay is good. TBH, the best SP I've played since HL2.
On that note, I was thinking about D3, and I realized I can't really remember any one particular moment in that game...it just all blended together. Games like HL2 and this leave all sorts of 'gaming moment' memories...
Yea, just about shat myself going down a ladder when the girl pops up at the top and then you turn around at the bottom and see the guy right as you turn around.
Heh...I am surprised, this game is actually pretty playable with every setting completely maxxed on my machine.
FEAR uses a proprietary engine right? I am reminded of HL2 with some of its graphics...
