i love how people asssume that because a game touts HD, that it's going to be the best thing since Post-Its.

Jugg, the Xbox should have more then enough brute force to play Hl2, let alone HD... that is what i was getting at.

i mean, 3.2ghz ( X what? 4? ) and a Radeon X**** Videocard, it should run it like pie.

yer that, but it still doesn't mean it will look great because "HD" is stamped on it.

i actually thought it looked quite good, wasnt too impressed with the frame rate, about 30Fps, but it seems quite constant, doesnt dip below, also the reflections and surfaces i thought looked awesome, the lighting seemed alot better! especially when you get into the caves after ravenholm, and the gameplay translated well to the console, without losing what made it special.

the textures and polygon counts seemed less, but that was very expected.

think its you, Gothboy, who looks ugly.

*i was playing without HD.

it must be the amount of Vram choking it, that gpu is more powerfull then mine, and so are the cpu's.. so its the only other logical thing.

Other than vid cap software, which looks like shit.. and taking a digital pic via camera, which looks like shit.. i dont have the ability to.. unless theres something i can add to my dashboard..

Of course the game looks like shit.

But it also has fo the most part every level unchanged and uncut from the PC version.

So what you have is half res level textures, quite bad model textures but great view weapon textures. But the gameplay and everything else is still there.

Its a great game on the box, TBH i'm finding it more fun. I'm up to... What part is it... Oh yeah Nova Propect, on the beach with those turrets...

So far its been great, a fantastic port and one of the best games on the box. LEts see PS2 do this with its "mtion engine" thats so muc hetter than the box

Thats the 360 spec. I think for a 700mhz cpu with a GF3 and a 64 meg of ram it looks and runs fine. You try running HL2 on a rig like that with those specs and see if you can do any better.
