Need for Speed Most Wanted

Post by r3t »

I hate to admit it... but I'm actually liking this game a lot. I normally can't stand all the fast-and-furious-pimp-my-ride stuff, but if I just ignore that part of the game, NFS Most Wanted is a very solid arcade racer with purty graphics. :icon14:

its decent in that way, but the scripting of the other racers is to stale and annoying..

they litterly go ahead of you by the same ammount, stay there then randomly slow down to let you by..

also, a qeird trait that they have, they wil swerve to get infront of you and slam on the breaks..

kinda weird.

my room mate picked it up for the 360, looks nice on HD, not much improvment without it, but yeah ive been strangly drawn to it aswell, even the story is not too embarassing.

aye

always happened

or youll be in the lead by a lap for 4 laps then on the final lap, it being your best lap, they sneak round on the last bend >:E

there was a 6? lap race i think, around about race 79-89

i swung the pad round the room and gave my mate a black eye :smirk:

never again

That's why you can turn catch-up off via the menu... :p

Just gave this a try and I quite like it.

I'm not a fan of pimping rides either, I just want to race, but I find the pimping aspect less intrusive than in previous NFS installments.

Graphically impressive.
Bit heavy on the bloomage, but you get a real nice and exiting sense of speed, and it performs adequately with 1024x768 and everything maxed out, even on my obsolete P4_2.8 1GB 9700PRO setup, although I prefer 800x600 for fluency.

The mixing in of RL actor footage in the cut scenes even works. Where in other games I find this quite off-puting, they really managed to blend it in with the CGI.

For once, I think EA pulled off a winner, here.

Hmm....after burnout 1,2, 3, and now 4, the only good racing game can be a burnout 5

Just got it a few days ago i think im rank 8th now or something. Got me a nice porsche cayman that looks sweet. Smokes everything in the game right now, so im content. Got a nice like chevy whatever all tricked out and a eclipse all tricked out. Been a fun game so far, im looking foward to the online portion once i unlock the cars. The maps are better then UG thank god, cause UG was like 1 map split up 50 ways, bleh. It does however lack the map diversity of previosu NFS like 3 and hot pursuit. They are lacking in the inovation department sadly, which is so easy to do. Take me out of the city, i want to race in the mountains and in snow again.

But all in all a good game, we all got it at wokr now and i even bought a x-box 360 controller so i can finaly have a gamepad again, works great with it.

Now i need some other good games to play with a gamepad :)

I love it, even the tracks are a lot of fun, probably some of the best racing I've had in awhile. As for invovations I think the way you ditch cops is pretty awsome, just to name one...

I'm playing the shit out of it, and I really like the tracks. That's the one thing that I haven't enjoyed about older NFS games, the tracks were very limited and got boring quickly.
I've got an IS300, an RX-8, an EVO VIII, the Porsche Cayman S, Mustang GT, and one or two others. I've won all but the Lexus.

So, for those that play, post your longest pursuit, highest bounty, etc.
I got 88,500 bounty in one pursuit, I'll have to go look the rest up.

I don't remember what my highest bounty was but my longest pursuit was 17 minutes driving a completly chrome Porsche Cayman S. (popular car I see)

I think my best is around 7 or 8 minutes, ended for stupid reasons. Goddamn spike strips. :icon33:
You get the Cayman S when you beat Baron if you choose the right Bonus Marker.

I bought my cayman and tricked it out. I didnt get the pink on it but i wanted a new car. My eclipse was getting old and i didnt like the other cars i won so i sold them and upgraded.

Hey, can you check your pursuit lengths highest bounty or you just going from memory. Also, is there a easy way to take pics of our cars or just print screen works? Well nm ill go find out if PS works right now :)

I wonder if there's a game mode where you can lend your ride to your drug dealing friend who gets it impounded, you pay $800 to get it out and make a thread about it on the internet?

Is this the 28th or 29th game in the "need for idea's" series?

Beats me, I wonder if there's a game where you just beat a dead horse?

Rap sheet.

My top pursuit is 10m 49 seconds with 148,500 bounty.

My babies. I prefer a semi simple approach to my style. Quick ,sleek, unique, but not overflashy.
