Ok.. so make better and market it for 400 or less..o'dium wrote:Doesn't matter if its a console or not, i'm unimpressed with the whole thing. Everybody is ranting and raving, and TBH i'd rather play it on my £200 widescreen TV than a £2000 widescreen HD tv. Just looks sharper.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

There is no switch is there? Its set up from the menu system, 720 and 1080 and something else is in there. Its set to 1080 with a HD TV.MKJ wrote:odium, did you flick the HD switch on the console?
TBH I think more than anything its the damn TV, the picture is awful. I cant stand those LCD TV's, every one i've seen ahs left me un-impressed and pricey. I mean come on, why should i have to pay THAT MUCH for a TV that has worse picture quality than a cheaper one but is thinner?
Ok they DO look sexy when off... BUT COME ONE PEOPLE!
theres a switch, love, its on the output cable..o'dium wrote:There is no switch is there? Its set up from the menu system, 720 and 1080 and something else is in there. Its set to 1080 with a HD TV.MKJ wrote:odium, did you flick the HD switch on the console?

This is your component HD AV cable, which is very important for users of HD and non-HD TVs. Notice the little switch on it? This switch is a life or death switch! If you have an HD TV, the switch must be pushed to HD for you to receive a signal. It's a simple little switch, but it makes all the difference in the world. If you don't have an HD TV, then by all means, switch it to TV, so you can receive a signal. Essentially what Microsoft has done is to combine the traditional component cables (usually three wires, red, yellow and white) with a composite cable, which splits all AV into five cables for even more refined clarity and sound. If you don't get a signal and you're worried about stuff, remember the switch!
you know i first thought the "how to hook up your xbos360"-guide posted by IGN was pretty lame. but it seems some people really need it

They switched component and composite. Apparently people do need the guide to know what's what.

not only did they reverse it, but they have no idea what they're talking about in regards component being 5 cables.Psyche911 wrote:This is your component HD AV cable, which is very important for users of HD and non-HD TVs.
