PSP Emulators

Post by Kills On Site »

Well I have a PSP currently on v1.50 with a SNES, Genesis, and NES emulators that I use and want to keep, I want to get GTA:LCS and I know it requires v2.0, I know there is an EBOOT loader for v2.0 and I am wondering what emulators are available for it.

You know you can downgrade again after you get bored of lcs right? :)

The loader dosen't run emus that are ran at the kernel (or something), so a lot of the nice stuff dosen't work.

Do you have to store ROMS on memory card to play them on the PSP? Do they play with good fps?

Yeah where else you gonna store em? =p

You can play them in their zip structures too. So you end up shaving some space.

As for the speed, it all depends on the emulator at hand and how far it's progressed in terms of coding and such. Some games run better than others. For snes, games that came with the extra 'fx' chips run slower. I find a lot of snes games run pretty nice though.

Yea, I know I can downgrade, and I might do that, but it would be nice to not have to. I downloaded and kept a v2.0 version since I knew Sony would release v2.5 that couldn't be downgraded for GTA:LCS

Not that I know of, and that means you cant have a 2.0 psp for GTA "AND" emu's at the same time... ATM my emu's are just sitting on my memory card, waiting for me to downgrade again once i finish with GTA... :(

I thought I linked you? o_0

Theres a thread there with the entire list. snes9tyl only works on the older versions. Which kinda sucks cuz the older ones where a bit slower and all the games didn't work right.

you can actually do a really simple switch the UMD that works great, put in a 1.5 UMD, and midway through the PSP splash screen, carefully but quickly switch it to the game you want to load up thats about 1.5, sometimes it will give you an error, but most of the time it will no probs.

yes its really that simple.

New version of the eboot loader, and now works with SNES9xTYL 0.2c :)
