What have you guys used and which one is the best at doing this?

I've just recently found this when I needed to convert a WMA to mp3 for a friends ringtone.

The program is simple but as far as good or bad?

I'm not really familiar with any of these audio programs to be of
much help. Sorry. Just thought I'd give you an idea on this program. ;)

none are probably better than the other when it comes to transcoding. either way you'll wind up with a lesser quality audio file.

yer, if you HAVE to transcode i would recommend this because it does encode from source to compressed very well.
