Don't you have a wife and daughter, I don't mean to sound like a christer sunday morning television show but perhaps you should ease off the throttle once in a while.

If I rode like an idiot, I'd hope that I'd be inclined to heed your advice. However, I don't, so it's not necessary.
My goals every time I ride are to 1.) Not die and 2.) Not get arrested.

Wow, very noble goals you have set there.

Riding should be about getting from point A to B in the safest possible manner, even if you're just cruising around because you enjoy a drive on your bike. Anything that might either endanger yourself or someone else is fucking stupid. No possible excuses.

OMG, how fucking old are you grandpa? You're right, there's no way you should enjoy the thrills that a world-class sportbike can deliver. Let's all just ride mopeds while wearing giant airbag suits, and get our adrenal stimulation from rousing games of Mario Checkers. :olo:

That's not what I'm saying.
What I'm saying is don't do it at public roads.

And if you do want to enjoy it at a public road then limit yourself to enjoying the fact that you can pull up to 120km/h in 4 seconds. If you buy a sportsbike to act like a moron on public roads, then you have no business riding such a bike.

Right, so by extension of your logic: Turn your loud music down, don't drink more than two beers, don't eat spicy food...DON'T HAVE ANY FUCKING FUN OR DO ANYTHING WITH ANY RISK! FOR GOD'S SAKE, WHY WON'T ANYONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!?!

You don't seem to understand that this argument is only in the context of the other people who might be affected. The extention of his logic is this:
Don't blast your 50 cent at 2 am while you drive through my neighborhood, don't smash your beer bottle over someone's head, and don't...uh...do something bad...uh... with spicy food.
(that last one stumped me. :p )

:olo: I'm with you on this one Nightshade. If anything I think more car drivers should be safer around the bikers, not vice versa.

Very true, I am afraid of getting a bike because of how people drive here, I don't want to be hit by some soccer mom bitch in her huge SUV because she didn't see me passing her. In a car I feel safer since I have a steel cage around me, but on a bike, no way. And that goes for all bikes, not just super sport.

5 of my friends bought sport bikes last summer. As crazy as they ride, the only severe accident was caused by some Civic who tried to jump into an off-ramp in front of AJ.

Let's see, I'm the one that realizes that it's possible to ride/drive aggressively and fast under certain circumstances, I do it all the time, and I haven't gotten a ticket in 15 years and I've never caused an accident. :dork:

That's very noble and all, but FFS it's way out of question. Come to San Diego to see what idiot drivers are. They make Ghost Rider look like...well, what you must be driving like. :icon1:

If San Diego is a city filled with morons then that doesn't mean acting like a moron is generally acceptable.
