I got my hands on an XBOX 360

I have had a chanche to play around with a sweet looking XBOX 360 today. I have to say that it is the nicest thing I have ever seen.
The controller is smaler than the original XBOX's, by about 40%, it is nicely texturet, as to not slip out of your hand. It has a indicator for what player your controller is (cool!) The buttons are sturdy and soft.

As I have typed my message about playing the XBOX 360 I did not have a chance to post everything I wanted to, as the library was closing and I had to get off before I could even complete a sentence, I just had to hit period, and enter. (the 30 computers went off 15 MINUTES before it closed, WTF?)

So, I played: Call of Duity 2, King Kong, NFS Most Wanted.
This was played on a large plasma (or LCD), wide screen TV.

The shear level of detail, and people on screen in COD2 os abso-fucking-lutly amazing. The weapons are photorealistic, the faces of the charachters are really good. And some locations aproach photorealism.

I traditionaly hated and despised playing councle, specialy FPS games, on them. But the 360 and Call of Duity 2 have changed my view on that, even it is still hard as fuck to aim at some nazi all the way on the roof with your sniper, it takes 45 whole seconds and shots to get the aim on him (because he is so far oway), and when I do get the aim on him, he moves GRRR!
But still, I am wiling to overcome that and actualy get a councle, because the whole feel, the mobility, movement and everything in COD2 feels just like PC FPS. So traditionaly, I hated that rubber feeling that councle gaming gave FPS games, but in XBOX 360, the feeling is not there.

the King King game was amazing, there was an intro, with some charachters talking to a camera and then they walk oway, so I am standing there for the cut scene to finish, I'm still standing there, so I press a key to end it, when I notice the camera move, holly smokes, it was not a cinematic but my actual characters view in game!! It is like photorealism, so real, the mud on the ground, trees, wals, rocks! And the devs felt that it lookes so real, that they did not include a HUD display, you just see what you would normaly see from your eyes.

There was a scene, where I ran from a T-Rex and in to an underground lake, the water effect is so life like, and you could see your arms swimming in the water when you move, or when you float in a spot, and the hands actualy create waves.

Just amazing!

HOLY SHIT!!! oh, yea, they've been on display for the last 2 weeks or so.

I'm very disappointed in the COD2 demo...the graphics aren't that impressive..

If Sony doesn't rape the PS3 with content protection lunacy, it will wipe the floor with the Xbox 360. I still believe MS should release it's console AFTER Sony.

How does that make any sense? They're getting damn near 1 year headstart. Millions of people will have bought the 360 by the time the PS3 is even available (in the US at least). And at that time, it will probably be 1/2 the price of the PS3 so people will keep on buying it or the Revolution for the people not willing to dish out $500+ for the console alone.

The XBOX is $500 CAD here and the XBOX Core is $400 CAD.

the fact that the 360 isnt 100% backwards compatible sucks though. if they were to release the 360 next year, that would be great timing. the xbox1 isnt at its end at all. ps2 is though
