He's been a mysterious figure videotaped on insanely fast bikes absolutely murdering European highways. I had one clip of him on a 499bhp turbo Hayabusa. We're talking front wheel in the air, passing people at 170+. He was recently revealed to be a rather nondescript middle-aged dude. :olo:

That's the vid Night is referring to.

One of Ghostrider's camera men is doing 300km/h and Ghostrider passes him like he's stopped, while doing a wheelie. :icon28:
296 kilometer/hour = 183.9258729 mile/hour (mph)

WOW SOMEONE WENT REALLY FAST BUT IS STILL NOT QUALIFIED ENOUGH TO DRIVE PROFESSIONALLY ON A TRACK WHERE HE WILL ONLY KILL HIMSELF AND MAYBE ONE OR TWO SLACK-JAWED FANS (IF THE REST OF THE POPULATION IS LUCKY ENOUGH).
LIKE WRESTLING, THIS KIND OF POSERISM IS MOSTLY FASCINATING TO UNINTELLIGENT PEOPLE EVERYWHERE.

lol, To kinda jump in here, alot of people find racing on a track less then enjoyable, But Driving on Streets at high speeds gives it a more thrilling aspect.

think about it, a Road corse is Stale, Nothing, Smooth ( most of the time ) wile Streets are not, they have traffic ( moving obstical's anyone? ) And etc to make it more enjoyable,

Especally the police :o

I'm not saying that people should race on the roads. He says that we're slack-jawed idiots because we find a video of someone going fast entertaining. I'm saying that he clearly is not a speed freak and would never understand why a video of someone riding a 500hp motorcycle at speeds of around 200mph is so cool.

In all honesty, street racing is pretty retarded, and most people really don't have any business doing anything like what those two in the video are doing. Here's a question: Would you consider someone like Alain Prost driving like that to be reckless?
Ok, in cases where there are lots of crossing traffic and lights and whatnot, it's just stupid. Racing on highways is a different story, especially if you're on a bike. I'm usually no where near any other cars, and the ones I pass, I pass so fast they barely have time to realize what happened.
I'm biased because I ride rather quickly, so seeing other people doing it is a hoot, but I realize that you can be jeopardizing other people. Sure, you can zip around a corner and smack into someone pulling across the road, but that can happen at any time, to anyone.

right but as i've stated before and as others have agreed the problem isnt so much your jeopardizing other people's healths or anything (e.g. zipping around a corner and smacking into one) as much as someone else being responsible for your death (the motorcyclist).

a lot of people have problems with that.

I find it interesting that people come down so hard on Toxic for street racing but they still think this is cool.

When I see someone racing or being excessively reckless on the road, I cut them off, weave into their lane, or otherwise scare them. If they're going to endager everyone else by being an ass, I'm ready to endanger them by doing the same.

See, this is completely retarded. You're TRYING to cause an accident, whereas the speeder is simply going fast. Do that to the wrong person and you'll get shot. If it bothers you so much, call the cops.

No, I'm not trying to cause an accident. I'm trying to make them slow down.

Just like they're not trying to cause accidents, they're trying to look cool.

Either way it's just as stupid. Only I'm not going to do the same to everyone else on the road.

I wasn't specific. I really just do something to make them think twice. I don't weave right into them, I'm not that dumb. If I see people coming flying up behind me, weaving through traffic, I just pull into their lane (far enough ahead) so that they have to slow down. I don't run them off the road or anything.

If the road is empty, I could care less. If they aren't endangering other drivers and just want to go fast on the interstate, then I just let them by.

Ok, that sounds a bit more reasonable. I get pissed at people driving like assholes as well, but only if they're flying thorugh traffic, tailgating, etc. I've never seen a higher density of retards on the roads than I have around here.

:olo: I no longer own anything with two wheels and an engine--I have zero throttle control.
It took me 6 tickets in 2 years to discover the joy of not giving my fucking money to the DMV.

I've been pulled over once, got off with a warning. The radar detector has saved my bacon on multiple occasions.

I find that impressive as well and I guess it's impressive that he can do that on a public road, it's just absolutely despisable to see the lack of respect that this person has for other road users. I love watching MotoGP for the neckbreaking manouvers they pull off in corners and everything, but that's a track. They don't put people that aren't involved at danger.

And this Ghostrider thing is not only limited to speeding. They break just about every traffic rule there is. I mean, you are allowed to go 180km/h on the german highways. If you want to, fine, do so, but don't act like a complete moron and do absolutely impossible to calculate manouvers like these.

But the odds of it happening are increased a thousand fold if you don't drive like a normal person.
