Wow! :olo: :olo:
But Dorland said shooting the sparrow to ensure the success of the program was an overreaction.

"I think they were awfully fast to pull out a rifle," he said. "If a person started knocking over a few dominoes they wouldn't shoot him would they?"

A Dutch website called Geenstijl offered a $1,200 reward for anybody who knocks over the dominoes ahead of time to avenge the bird.

Hans Peeters, director of the Netherlands Bird Protection agency, called the killing "ridiculous."

Fucking Dutch0s and their sparrow-murder culture.

He said organizers had believed the building was fully sealed against birds and mice. The company is considering some kind of memorial or mention for the dead bird during the television broadcast Friday, he added.
Rest in peace, old friend...

I guess you could say he got killed in the line of Dominoes

You're keeping up with my local weather from hundreds of miles away? Do I need a restraining order? :olo:

Yea PH ask shaft about me. He loves making up fantasy stories about my life - I believe he had a novel in the works in R&R somewhere, but his own material couldn't keep him interested long enough to finish it. :olo:

No. I just seem to remember you lived near Tennessee and had storm damage pics posted in the past.
But who knows, maybe you're in Kentucky and you put guitars instead of banjos on the wall so I would get lost coming down route 66....

it even was in the USA Today, sir!

btw thats why i made that "like shooting sparrows at a domino event"-comment in the Ghostrider thread :p

i personally think its absurd the bird was *shot* instead of just captured. they waited till it perched somewhere before shooting it. also, he didnt get shot by some random guy, but by a "fauna protector", which makes it even worse :o

i havent seen a sparrow for over 2 years now, ever sice they were declared "extinct" in amsterdam. that also makes it quite gay that they decided to kill the fucking thing :( sparrows are cool dammit

That domino thing is mindnumbingly stupid anyway. I dearly hope some enviromental terrorist avenges the bird by flying a large plane into the building, finishing what the bird started.

I have to say i like this new trend of offering awards to fuck the whole thing up. Perhaps someone will succeed in sabotaging this awful event :icon14:
