Anyone know of a program that will......
Allow me to change just one ID3 Tag field (Ie Artist, genre etc.) without altering any of the other fields, for all files in a folder full of MP3s?
Situation:
My sister hands me a disc a friend has given her and asks me to 'put this on my ipod'
I stick the disc in and discover 142 mp3s just shit all over the place with zero organization. No way am i originating this.
I want to give them all the same album title, "kim's Mix" or something so that my sister can easily access just this group of files.
"use a playlist"
yeah i know.. but I don't want to screw up my organizational masterpiece I have on her ipod already with misspelled album titles and the like.

Tag & Rename can do just about anything you want it to do with id3 tags.
edit: Including precisely what you asked about.
And if the songs have fairly standard filenames ( artist - song.mp3 or some other variation), you can tell T&R to automatically generate the genre, album, artist, etc fields from the filename.

I would uninstall it completely if I weren't afraid it would mess up my iPod drivers, authorization, etc.

Apparently Juggs wants me to give him credit where it's due for recommending Anapod to me. :icon14:Nightshade wrote:Linky?R00k wrote:I've got Anapod Explorer along with Tag & Rename, and I don't plan on ever needing to open iTunes again.

Or, he's just being anal about me not including a nice orange link to their site whilst I pimped it.
