Is there anyway to stop the paintbrush tool from auto resetting itself to hollow with an outer line? It's annoying to have to manually rest it every time I start a new area.

"Hollow with an outer line"? "Area"?

What are you using the paintbrush tool for?

Use the pen tool ffs, you probably just have to learn how to use it properly. There are tons of tutorials on that.

1.) Create the brushes you like.
2.) Save Brush Library.
3.) Every time you open a new file, Load Brush Library.
