I've heard about that principle before. The cat should be able to levitate.

i was personally quite confused with that pic. i had no idea what message they were trying to convey

after a while I concluded that it was a domestic tip: see, whenever you drop a bowl, it tends to fall upside down, spilling whatever was in it. a cat, however, will always land on his feet. ergo, if you attacht your bowl to a cat, you can drop it to your liking without ever spilling the contents :icon14:

Actually, it isn't a bowl, it is a piece of buttered bread.

It's about how buttered toast always lands with the butter down when you drop it, and how cats always land on their feet when you drop them. The idea is that putting a bit of toast with butter on a cat evens these two mysterious forces out, making the butter-toast-cat levitate. :icon14:

oh.
well i liked my utterly useful domestic-tip a lot better
i'll print it out and hang it in the company kitchen for everyone to follow

on another note, does anyone have a link to that one forum where people gave funny interpretations to real-life warning notices? A la, "in case of earthquake, go to your happy place" et al

Yes, this has been touted as a major development in anti-gravity research.

oh its easy. you see...buttered bread is always suppose to land upside down. cats are always suppose to land right-side up...put them together and the system levitates.
