It does look like there's a slight artistic filter going on there, though.

Reminds me of those Newsweek and Time articles in the months following 9/11. They'd use dramatic black and white shots of the President and VP in uber-serious poses... in the oval office, on air force one, in the heat of a discussion... like they were being historicalized for future generations right there in the present.
