Slammed on my brakes once because some bitch was tailgaiting me..

Yeah, she hit me.. thrashed her car, not much damage to mine.. fat check for me.. her with higher insurance.. gg

i thought about doing that the other day. some lass tailgated me through the jewellery quarter in birmingham. i was already a little over the 30 limit (doing 40ish) but not in any rush, so i slowed down gradually on a quiet straight to let her pass. but she just stayed on my bumper, so close that i could barely see the bonnet of her car.

was having a bad day anyway so i thought about slamming the anchors on - letting her little plastic korean bubble disintergrate against the back of the landy - then thought better of it and pulled into the other lane as soon as it was clear enough, tapped the brakes, tailgated her for a couple of seconds then dropped back to a safe distance.

bit mean, but i've only been driving for a year and as far as i can tell - part of the point of driving a car is to be an asshole and a bully and overreact to things.

One time an old man pulled out from a stop sign, while I was only going 25. I had no stop sign, and I saw that he didn't even look my way. He pulls out, see's me, I fuckin beep the shit out of him, he then gives me the "I just shit my pants" look. He then turns the other direction and we get to another stop sign, where I have my windows down, and I honk my horn like a madman flipping him off and verbally abusing the shit out of his crusty ass.

That reminded me of another story.
I was going down this street and there was this driver going really slow. I mean like 15mph max. Since it's two lanes, I signaled (as always) and changed lanes. Well, the person cuts me off. So I go back to the first lane, gun it and pass him up.

I hit a red light a block down and he pulls up along side of me. I didn't think anything of it, but then realized he was going off on me. He, the one who cut me off, and then I legally passed him, was bitching to me. It was this old man with his wife in the passenger seat, she just looked embarrassed.

Yea, I'm a huge dick on the highway around here. I cannot stand it when people travel in the passing lane here, so I'm constantly dodging traffic and going in and out of lanes. But then again, how fucking hard is it to stay in the right lane on a 2 lane highway thats not even that busy?

EDIT: Now that I think of it, the funny thing is people will almost immediatly realized what they were doing wrong after I pass them on the right. Idiots.

Yea, I'm a huge dick on the highway around here. I cannot stand it when people travel in the passing lane here, so I'm constantly dodging traffic and going in and out of lanes. But then again, how fucking hard is it to stay in the right lane on a 2 lane highway thats not even that busy?

It all depends on how fast you're going and how stupid people where you live are. I've heard that in Europe they only go into the left lane to pass a car, no matter how fast they're going. But here most people think that the left line is the 120km/h lane, so they don't feel like they're doing something wrong when they do 120km/h in the left lane. Plus if you're going around 160km/h or more and catch up to someone in the left lane, its better to just pass them on the right because they won't notice that you're behind them when you're going that fast.

For the most part, I just let it go, because I agree - there are drive-by shootings all the time in this city, and I know from experience that the potential confrontation just isn't worth it. Better to let the person go around, make them feel like they've really accomplished something by getting to the next red light 10 seconds before you roll up behind them, and be over with it. This was a rare situation that really only happened because my brother happened to be driving right next to me and saw the guy tailgating...*points finger* HE STARTED IT.

I've had some scary shit happen in the past though with friends who started yapping to the car next to us, or been in the car with a friend who drove likea complete asshole and pissed the wrong person off.

On the way home from teh bar one night, my friend cut some redneck off and then flipped him off when he honked. I told him I wasn't going to help when this guy kicked the shit out of him at the stop light ahead, jokingly...well before you know it, at the stop light this crazy fucker who looked like Grizzly Adams on steroids and crack runs out of this beater truck, reaches through the open drivers window, and puts his fucking hands around my friend's neck. it was surreal...like slow motion...luckily eric had the wherewithall to start closing the window. the guy let go, yelled that next time he saw that finger he woudl shove it up his ass, and peeled out around us on the right shoulder...we drove to the police station, reported the whole thing, got pics of the red marks on his neck...and the dude ended up getting charged with assault.

calm down folks....this isn't an everyday occurance and it isn't a sign of some complete lack of emotional control I have on the road. It was just my brother and I having a bit of fun at the expense of a complete asshat. as for Kracus agreeing with someone about not risking their life for whatever...considering the stories we hear about escape driving, drugs, dangerous friends, the police, and guns...who the hell are you to tell anyone about something like that?

besides, I think I can blame my behavior on the fact that I started playing San Andreas, and I am also playing Liberty City...two doses of GTA...maybe I'll sue rockstar.

Actually here you're only legally allowed to pass on the right (as we drive on the left, normally). You can actually get fined as far as I know for undertaking (passing onthe left).

You're meant to merge back into the left lane if you're able to do so, leaving the other 2 lanes free for people overtaking but it rarely happens, if people did that it would make things much better because you could pass easier, but no.


Which annoys me, because the other day some girl in a mini thought she could get around me coming off an island, so she went into the right lane. So obviously I'm mean to let her pass me (else i'd be undertaking, and where i was their were lots of traffic cameras so i couldn't be bothered risking it). Of course, her mini takes about 25 seconds to get up to 70 meaning i have to hang around waiting for her

That remind me coming back from my tobacco crop work season from Ontario. It was a 5 or 6 lanes but all of a sudden because of some road construction became only one lane.
I need to precise that it was my first real driving on the road, it was around 2AM after a whole working day ( we were eager to come back home ), my friend was asleep next to me and I was driving his VW Beatle. I was really tired at that and driving as a new driver do really insecure, really below the limit. As I was driving in between the orange cones I looked in my mirror and saw all of a sudden a the grid of a big wheeler truck, it was so closed that I could really just see it’s grid radiator for nearly two miles. Imagine that was my first experience on a highway.

Yeah, here its illegal to pass on the right when the speed limit is 80km/h or faster.
