NHS is a pisstake.... he was on the waiting list for 2 yrs and when he finally got in..... the doc had already performed 4 operations in the day (it was only 11AM) and when he wakes up the docs nowhere to be seen

NHS can be pretty crappy sometimes. Like with my grandma getting phisio, had to wait ages and ages and ages and got messed round a bit. Plus they forgot about me for about 2 hours when i was supposed to go straight through for a CAT scan.

But i hope everything will be ok chunk.

jus got back, he looks pale as fuck and get all sorts of cords, wires, tubes and buttons all over him :/

reason why he cant feel anything is because all the nerves in his arms were espasicated or somming (dunno what it means) but told us it was normal and when he starts physio he should get some feeling back

as for the doc, he spent the last 12 hrs operating on 5 diff people, went home for 2 hrs then come back to see my old man... so i ended up feeling kinda sorry for the guy

ahh well, fingers crossed, its all going well

my boss's dad had that, he had bone spurs on his neck vertebrae and had the operation to have them trimmed off. It was a longer recovery than they thought, he had a lot of pain, but he had a big family and they all visited and brought food and kind of got him through it. I'm not sure if he had physical therapy or not.

it will take a while for the nerves to heal up if they've been damaged by the pressure, but they will heal.
