Fuji A345, 4.1 MP

Post by DRuM »

Hey I bought this camera just now. I used to have a lovely, petite Canon Ixus ll which got stolen a while ago, so couldn't afford another £199 and spent £89 instead. Plus £10 for a 128mb memory card ( normally £22) as part of a deal at Currys.

In fact I'd bought a cheap £40 3.1 megapixel camera today from Comet, ( an 'I.T. Works 3045'), and then took it back after realising it had 'no' to about every option, such as no macro, and , well, no nothing really except basic functions and movie mode. And a review said it was a pos, so that made me realise my impulse purchase was foolhardy. Luckily I didn't open the box when I got home.

Off topic, who trains these fucking monkeys at currys? They don't know their arse from their elbows, they can't be bothered to make a decent effort in helping the customer, and they chit chat and swear to other workmates while they're in the middle of serving you. When I asked for the FULL specs on cameras the salesman just provided me with a promo sheet with very little info then told me they're not professional camera people. I said to him 'oh I see, you're not a professional camera salesman so that means you don't have to know shit about what you're selling. Very good'. :icon27: Then he started to make an effort. Then he couldn't find the box for the camera. But I did as it was staring at me on a shelf behind the.. 'salesman' . Amateurs I tell ya!

Anyway back ON topic, the fuji A345 seems to be the best camera for bells and whistles in the lower price range, anyone think it's quite good?

I think a friend of mine has one of those, and it has absolutely no manual mode at all :/.

tbh pho, the only manual things I ever used on my ixus was macro and the option to turn flash on or off. Other than that, I'm happy with auto everything really. I'm not into photography really but just wanted something of good quality for casual snapshots. That casio camera looks nice btw. Is it rechargeable battery with charger? Mine comes with 2 x AA, but since I already have a charger with 4 x AA batteries ( 800mA each, not the most powerful), I guess I can use those.
