Yuk. He's shite. He has the speed and some technique but his solos are 'look how fast I can play, but don't expect anything musical in my solos, I'm all about the feet ' He's great as a showman though for the fans, I can't knock that.

If you knew anything about drumming you wouldn't need to ask that. Then again, I'm here to educate you.

being a drummer has to be pretty expensive though... not only do you need to buy all that equipment. you have to hire 3 sherpas and a pack mule to haul it around for you.

He's the one who's been playing for Steve Vai recently, isn't he? There was a great solo on the Live in London DVD. Although most of the rest of the DVD was pretty revolting, more muso wanking than is normal even for vai.

BTW Drum, how do you do front foot on the kick without falling straight off the stool?

Oh yeah, and I think Jeff Campitelli is seriously underrated. Great "shut up and play" drummer.

Correct, but not anymore. Vai's current band line up (in some kind of sillyness called "The Breed") is Tony MacAlpine (keyboard & guitar), Dave Weiner (guitar), Jeremy Colson (drums) and the awesome Billy Sheehan (bass guitar),

You mean heel up? It's just a case of practising it enough until you find that centre of balance. But check out this clip, this guy talks about it.

I read in an interview that he bases some drum rhythms off of mathematical formulas and stuff like the Fibonacci series... Know anything 'bout that?

I guess she's skilled, but that kind of music is so dull I feel like slitting my wrists.

Its a girl. She plays drums good.

Was enjoyable but its not like it was a 5 year old or something. I mean, chics can do pretty much everything we can do, so im not like wow'd by that clip.

But she is good and it was enjoyable to watch, just not cause she is a girl though.

Well it's a drummer thing. If you knew just how difficult it is to play that stuff she performed, then you would be wowed. Of course, I understand that not liking the music doesn't help. I must say if I don't like a style of music then it doesn't really help me enjoy an artists chops :icon26:
