Yeah but the minigames are unlocked pretty fast.

Fight is hilarious if you're playing with four players. Race is stupid IMO, but bowling and billiards are kinda fun as well.

I warned you didn't I :p

I thought Windwaker's controls were pretty intuitive
The great thing about Windwaker is that while it may look really simple in it's design, there's just so much detail to see, it's really amazing. The boating around will get really tiresome at some point by the way, so make sure you find the tune to transport from windwhirl to windwhirl quickly.

The new mini games were kind of wank and the single player levels were too gimicky. No, if you're new to Monkey Ball then MB1 is a much better choice than MB2.

all the multiplayer games in SMB1 are improved and unlocked in SMB2. you dont have to do single player stuff :icon26:

unless you want to unlock the extra SMB2 multiplayer games.

I honestly thought that target was a lot less fun in SMB2 than SMB1. The levels were too gimicky and the wheel of fate thingy wasn't there anymore.

how were the levels in target in SMB2 more gimmicky? They had less obstacles. one banana or two didnt change your fate in the next level. it didnt have the "gimmicky" bs luck wheel of fate thing.

it was straightforward. playing with friends made it very competitive and you actually got the airtime to really plan your flight out well.

airtime is so important im SMB2 target. it becomes a real battle to see who can stay up in the air the longest and land last (so as to not get knocked off). it takes a decent amount of skill when youre playing with good players.

my friends and i have logged hundreds of hours into the monkeyball multiplayer games over the course of years. as i've said before, its all we ever played. kind of sad really, but hey...its a damn good game :)

anyway, as far as SMB1, thats cool if you like it. opinions are opinions :)

My biggest complaint is the camera. The view stick is like inverted on both axi. Then there's the fact that A does virtually everything so it can take a bit of coaxing to get it to do exactly what you want. Not having a dedicated jump button is a pain as well.

The fighting controls are much better than I expected though.
