Quake 4 Server Lists

Post by Bueller »

We modified the q3px plugin to work off the doom3 parameters and got the quake4 servers listed. Only 3 on there now but we will be adding more quickly ! ID software seems to be down presently and game browsers aren't picking servers up, but when browser comes back up we'll add accordingly.

This plugin allows you to see who is on the server, what map, and join from Internet explorer and Firefox.

Enjoy: http://www.ovquake.com/server_list/q4.shtml

Don't have the plugin? Get it here:

http://q3px.selfware.net/

Want a server listed? Send me an ip and name. bu3ll3r@comcast.net

Install instructions:
http://www.ovquake.com/server_list/main.html

MAKE SURE ALL BROWSERS ARE CLOSED BEFORE INSTALLING PLUGIN OR IT WILL NOT TAKE EFFECT !

For firefox u just have to point the plugin to the firefox/plugin folder. Internet explorer folks can use default install.

gg Bueller.

Unfortunately the plugin is causing serious stability problems with Firefox. 50% of the time the browser crashes on load now.

Yeh I've been using this plugin since I had an early version of firefox so I'm not sure if that will fix your problem or not. Maybe an extension u have installed is causing a conflict? I hate to say this...but does it work in IE?
I did notice the player name and ping in the plugin window is getting smashed together. Probably cause it was made for doom. Hopefully they will update the plugin. I sent an email in to the creator.

yeh but that kquery app really sucks IMHO. The plugin allows you to take a quick glance at as many servers that fit on your screen and you see whos in them, current map, and score without having to click on each individual server such as ASE,

Yes, a little better though I believe. Theres more options than the q3plug. Double click the icon on right side and you will see server parameters.

Yeh "was" being the key word. Since yahoo bought them out I'm not so sure. Anyways I was just trying to provide a solution. Use what ya want.
